Bioalghe has selected an Italian, Organic, Sustainable, Km 0, Artisan, Low Temperature Dried Spirulina. Spirulina is grown in filtered and purified freshwater tanks. Extraction is done through an initial filtration to separate the Spirulina from the culture water. The consistency, upon extraction, is like that of a cream. It is then squeezed with a press to remove the remaining liquid until a firm, consistent paste is obtained. Next, the fresh spirulina is passed through a die from which long noodles are made, which are placed to dry at about 38° C and then broken into small fragments.
